When Fanny Anderegg comes back from her many enduring journeys around the world, she tends to bring back souvenirs in the form of songs. It is in fact thanks to a trip towards St Jacques de Compostelle that the composer and performer found the material for her second effort: Le 8ème Jour (The 8th Day). The tracks revolve around the many encounters, the landscapes, and also the lonely moments… of the journey, simply speaking. She has created a musical universe where one may find refuge. Perhaps it is due to her fragile voice that can pierce through hearts of stone and frozen spirits, and that she remains true to herself. She sings discreetly as if it were easy to her, but nonetheless she goes straight to the heart. Her melodies are a cocoon, cathartic. To contract – to release. This new album is the outcome of the journey. It brings us through what forms our universe – the duality that exists in all things, like if we were directed towards the immeasurate great that we seek to reach, eternally. ___________________________________________________________________ De ses voyages incessants, Fanny Anderegg ramène des souvenirs sous forme de chansons ; et c’est suite à une marche vers St Jacques de Compostelle que l’auteur – compositrice -interprète nous revient pour son second opus : le 8ème jour. Les morceaux se découpent au gré des rencontres, des paysages, de la solitude aussi… du voyage, tout simplement. Elle crée un univers musical dont on ne peut se retirer. Peut-être est-ce dû aux contraires de sa voix fragile, qui pénètre impitoyablement à travers les cœurs de béton et les espoirs glacés, et qu’elle laisse être comme elle est. Elle chante discrètement, comme si cela ne lui coûtait rien, et va pourtant droit au cœur. Ses mélodies sont un cocon, libérateur. Contracter – relâcher. Ce nouvel album est l’aboutissement du voyage. Il nous mène à travers ce qui compose notre univers - la dualité qui existe dans toute chose, comme dirigé vers l’infiniment grand que nous cherchons à saisir, éternellement. ______________________________________________________________ Dei suoi viaggi interminabili, Fanny Anderegg riporta dei souvenir sotto forma di canzoni; ed è proprio grazie ad un viaggio verso St Jacques de Compostelle che l’autrice-compositrice ed interprete abbia sfornato il suo secondo lavoro discografico: le 8ème jour (L’ottavo giorno). I brani si evolvono attorno agli incontri, ai paesaggi, ed anche alla solitudine del viaggio, semplicemente. Ella ha creato un universo musicale nel quale ci si può ritirare. Forse è dovuto ai contrasti della sua voce fragile, che penetra inesorabilmente attraverso i cuori di cemento e gli spiriti di ghiaccio, e che lei si lascia essere come è. Canta in modo discreto, come se non fosse un grande problema, e ciononostante va diritto al cuore. Le sue melodie sono come un bozzolo, liberatorio. Contrarre – liberarsi. Questo nuovo album è il risultato del viaggio. Ci porta attraverso ciò che costituisce il nostro universo – la dualità che esiste in tutte le cose, come se fossimo diretti verso il grand infinito che cerchiamo di avere, in eterno. ______________________________________________________________ Fanny Anderegg schafft ein lyrisches Musikgebilde, dem man sich nicht entziehen kann. Die Suche nach Klang führte Fanny Anderegg auf den Jakobsweg. Vielmehr aus elementaren als aus religiösen Gründen. Der Entdeckungsdrang und die damit verbunden Fragen trieben Sie voran, durch Städte und Wälder, Siedlungen und Klöster, über Steine, Kreuzungen, Teer, Berge und Grenzen.
