The "Cuarteto" of saxophonist and composer Eduardo Kohan has a very diverse repertory- from contemporary works, and Argentinian tangos, to jazz standards as well as their own original pieces. It represents the synthesis of the musical adventures of its leader, who for 20 years has combined the popular music of his childhood home, Argentina, with the practice of free improvisation inherited from jazz. Along with drummer Laurent Wyler, bass player Christian Kleiner, and pianist Jean Ferrarini, Eduardo Kohan offers some fine examples of today's musical crossovers.
